Newly acquired young guard Jalen Green has reportedly been included in the Phoenix Suns' projected lineup for the upcoming season and is expected to play alongside Devin Booker in the backcourt.
In a blockbuster trade that saw the Phoenix Suns send their superstar Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, the players acquired by Houston in the deal have already been overlooked by many.
The Rockets received Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the upcoming draft, and five future second-round picks.
The Suns acquiring Jalen Green might seem puzzling, as they already have two star guards Devin Booker and Bradley Beal on the roster.
However, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports Radio, the Suns do not plan to trade Green, and he is expected to play alongside Booker in the backcourt.
The 23-year-old Green is coming off a career year in Houston, where he was one of the key pieces that helped the Rockets secure the second seed in the Western Conference, averaging 21 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
