Carlik Jones, Marial Shayok, JT Thor, and Wenyen Gabriel headline the roster that almost stunned Team USA.
Days before the start of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the Cinderella story of the tournament, South Sudan, announced its final roster for the competition.
The roster is led by Carlik Jones, who scored a triple-double in a friendly game against Team USA just a few days ago. Jones is joined by former Los Angeles Laker Wenyen Gabriel and Charlotte Hornets forward JT Thor.
Marial Shayok, who scored 24 points, making 6 triples against the USA, headlines the guard rotation.
Bright Stars, as they are known locally, will not receive its two biggest NBA stars, Bol Bol and Thon Maker, on the roster, as the first left due to personal reasons, while the second did not receive clearance from FIBA.
