Kevin Durant could be on the move by the end of the weekend, according to Shams Charania on The Pat McAfee Show. The Phoenix Suns are moving quickly in trade talks, with the Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, and Minnesota Timberwolves submitting final offers.
According to Evan Sidery, citing Shams Charania’s appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the Phoenix Suns are accelerating trade talks involving Kevin Durant, with hopes of reaching a resolution before the NBA Draft.
The Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, and Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly submitting their final offers to acquire the 35-year-old superstar.
“Negotiations with Phoenix are going very quickly as they want a firm solution by the draft,” Sidery noted.
Durant is coming off a productive season, averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists while shooting efficiently across the board.
Despite his age — he’ll turn 37 in September — Durant remains one of the league’s most dangerous offensive weapons and could be the missing piece for a team with championship aspirations.
He has one year remaining on his current deal and is due $54.7 million for the 2025–26 season, making his future a major salary cap decision for the Suns, especially after a disappointing playoff run and the franchise's heavy investment in Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
