American forward Derrick Williams has officially agreed to a one-year deal with Panathinaikos OPAP Athens.
Last season Williams played for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, where he averaged 9.4 points and 3.1 rebounds for 9.1 PIR in the EuroLeague.
Before joining Maccabi, the number 2 pick in the 2011 NBA draft played for three different teams in three years in Europe.
Williams' career in Europe started in Germany with FC Bayern Munich, where he played in the 2017-18 season. He then moved to Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, followed by Valencia Basket.
In his 4-year career in the EuroLeague, the 2.03-meters tall American averaged 10.6 points and 3.5 rebounds for 11.2 PIR.
