Among those they haven’t been able to contact is Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd. However, according to the latest reports from Ian Begley of SNY, Kidd may still be a candidate for the role in New York.

"The door is not completely closed on the Knicks and Jason Kidd, per people familiar with the dynamic in Dallas," Begley said.

"Other outlets reported as recently as last week that Kidd was still a possibility, and that remains the case as of Monday," he added.

The Knicks are currently expected to interview former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown for the head coaching position this week.

With the latest developments involving Kidd, the Knicks’ head coaching vacancy appears to remain wide open.
