Former Miami Heat player Udonis Haslem shared an insightful conversation he had with Dwyane Wade, where he expressed that while Wade and LeBron James are undeniably more talented, Jimmy Butler is the smartest player he's ever played with.
Former three-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat, Udonis Haslem, had high praise for Jimmy Butler following his dominant 38-point performance in the Golden State Warriors’ 121–116 play-in win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
During ESPN's NBA Countdown, Haslem revealed that there’s one area of the game where Butler surpasses even his legendary former teammates, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James.
He shared that he once discussed it directly with Wade, telling him that Butler’s basketball IQ stands above both him and LeBron.
"You are talented as hell. LeBron has been talented as hell. But Jimmy is way smarter than y'all," Haslem said.
Haslem played four seasons with Jimmy Butler, during which they reached the NBA Finals twice.
The Heat legend found even greater success alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, winning three championships with Wade — two of which came with LeBron’s help.
