Juancho Hernangomez and Kendrick Nunn shared their thoughts about Panathinaikos' win over Olympiacos in Round 5 of the Greek League, they also answered the question about Nunn being the best player in the EuroLeague.
Panathinaikos Aktor Athens completed a massive task beating Olympiacos Piraeus away 71-78 in Round 5 of the Greek League.
Kendrick Nunn led the European Champions with 25 points tonight, whilst Juancho Hernangomez was Panathinaikos' top rebounder catching 9 balls in this game.
Hernangomez insists this win is not that major like people would suggest, but it is a big step forward for the team overall.
"I don't think this win means much to be honest, as we are in the beginning of the season," Hernangomez claimed.
"It's kind of important in order to play at home during the play-offs. We know how important is to be with our fans, but it's not a major win for us."
"It's a long way, we lost last two games against Paris and Real Madrid, but it's not about how you study, it's about how you learn. Everybody here can score 20, 30 points, we need to find chemistry and learn different things."
Hernangomez agrees that Panathinaikos team is stacked in every aspect.
"In every kind of lineup we have one of the best players in Europe, it is a lucky problem to have that much talent. I wish we can say that every year in order to win the EuroLeague every season."
"Players are good enough to do that, we won it last year, and we want to do it this year too."
Hernangomez was also asked to answer is Kendrick Nunn the best player in Europe right now.
"Kendrick Nunn is a great, great player in Europe, if he scores like that he's unstoppable. It's a pleasure to see him because I see him how he works after the game, after the practice, before the practice... He works on his finishes and his body."
"He is kind of unstoppable, he can do anything, dribble both ways, shoot threes, finish in the paint, shoot from long range, hit floaters, I'm happy we have him on the team," Hernangomez concluded.
Nunn was not that descriptive like Hernangomez was, but still answered on some important questions.
"I don't have feeling before the game that I'll be hot, it just goes with the rhythm of the match, I prepare the same for every game. My teammates do a great job of feeding me, and as long as we are aggresive, defensively and offensively we will be good."
"You saw Lorenzo Brown started tonight, and he came ready to play. He was hot and we are just fitting him in our offense as well, he is making it a lot easier for us."
Questioned about him being the best player in the EuroLeague, Nunn gave a short response.
"You already know my answer to this, bro. I'm very confident in my game," Nunn concluded.
