In the process, Durant became just the eighth player in NBA history to surpass 29,000 career points, ending the game with a total of 29,010.
Durant is truly a scoring marvel -- comfortable and effective from all areas of the floor and far from one-dimensional.
At 36, he still has two or three golden years left, perhaps even more, as shooters tend to age gracefully in the league. KD didn't rule out playing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
"It's a tribute to a generational talent," coach Mike Budenholzer said. "He gets to great spots to be able to shoot and score against great defenses. He's been doing it pretty much his entire career."
