Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv announced that one of their players has tested positive for coronavirus. Per the official press release:

"Last night, the player felt unwell and underwent a rapid test, the result of which was positive. He will of course also undergo a PCR test and so will all the players and staff.

It should be noted and emphasized that the player in question as well as all Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv players and staff are vaccinated for coronavirus," the announcement concludes.

The Israeli powerhouse will be traveling to Athens, Greece, in the next few days, in order to participate in the "bwin TOURNAMENT AGAINST COVID-19", organized by Olympiacos Piraeus between 4 and 5 September. In case other players test positive, that trip could be canceled.
