Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. has picked up his $8.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season, securing his return to the team.

Philadelphia 76ers have confirmed that forward Kelly Oubre Jr. will be back for the 2025-26 season after he picked up his $8.4 million player option, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Oubre Jr. played an important role for the Sixers last year, showing his scoring ability and defensive hustle.

Over the course of the season, he averaged 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

He also shot efficiently from the field, connecting on 47% of his attempts, though his three-point shooting was less consistent at 29.3%.

Earlier in his career, Oubre has played for teams such as the Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors, and Charlotte Hornets.
