The team announced that Suggs will miss the rest of the season after undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery to remove a cartilage fragment from his left knee. The procedure also included a mosaicplasty to repair the trochlear joint surface.
Injuries have plagued the Magic this season, as their core trio of Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs has played only 97 minutes together.
This season, Suggs has averaged 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 35 games. The Magic are currently sitting eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 29-32 record.
