According to the club, their plane was struck by lightning while landing in Spain. Fortunately, the incident had no consequences.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, passengers noticed "a strong flash of light" during the landing maneuver from Amsterdam, which startled several people. However, the flight continued without issue.

Once on the runway, the pilot explained the situation, and passengers remained on board for about ten minutes while the plane was checked.

Bilbao lost the game in Cholet 82-75, ending their undefeated streak in the competition.
