While continuing as the head coach of the Spanish national team, Sergio Scariolo will also take on broadcasting duties.

The company announced that the veteran specialist will join the Movistar Plus broadcasting team in Spain and work as an analyst for the major basketball events of the season.

Scariolo will make his debut this upcoming weekend during the Spanish Super Cup.

The Italian coach will not be the first one to hold a similar position, as the current Zalgiris Kaunas head coach, Andrea Trinchieri, also worked as an analyst in the Italian Lega Basket (LBA) broadcasts before taking over the Lithuanian club.

"I feel like I am at the best moment of my career as a basketball coach. That's my feeling in terms of knowledge, in terms of mastering situations, in terms of the ability to communicate, in terms of the ability of X's and O's. I feel I have a lot of physical energy and passion, and love for the game," Scariolo told BasketNews in an exclusive interview earlier this year.

Scariolo is set to remain the head coach of the Spanish national team until 2028 after signing a new contract with the country's federation. Coach also remains open to club coaching opportunities.
