Dzanan Musa revealed that he's in negotiations with Real Madrid over a new contract, but didn't rule out the possibility to return to the NBA.

Moreover, Musa confirmed that negotiations for a new contract with Real Madrid have started. However, he also didn't rule out a return to the NBA.
"I initially signed a 2+1 contract. They had the option to either extend or terminate the contract and now they've decided to extend it," Musa explained his situation while talking to klix.ba.
"Now negotiations for a new contract are starting, so this doesn't mean I have any other plans. Of course, there's a possibility of returning to the USA, but I don't want to talk about that. I'm trying to stay focused on this season and do my best. I'm very happy at Real, and I hope that if a good offer comes, I can stay with Real for many years," Musa added.
Musa also discussed a potentially bigger role in Real Madrid following Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Rodriguez's departures.
"I think there's already enough pressure on me, but I'll try because very important players have left, both on the court and in the locker room. I've learned a lot from them, and I'll try to take the lead off the court as well. I've finally gotten the number 13, and we joked during the season that 31 was a good number for me. I grew up with that number, and I hope that 13 will be as successful for me as 31 was," Musa noted.
Last season, Musa averaged 13.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 14.5 PIR per game in 38 EuroLeague appearances for Real Madrid.
