Zalgiris and Kevarrius Hayes parted ways on mutual grounds. Bryant Dunston signed a one-year deal with Zalgiris to replace him.
Even though Kevarrius Hayes was set to remain in Zalgiris Kaunas, the club changed its course and signed a new player instead.
The Lithuanian organization officially announced that Bryant Dunston was coming to play in Kaunas on a one-year contract. Zalgiris parted ways with Hayes on mutual grounds.
38-year-old Dunston played for Virtus Segafredo Bologna, averaging 4.5 points and 3.6 rebounds for 6.7 PIR in the EuroLeague. His numbers were slightly better in the Italian League (LBA) - 5.1 points and 3.4 rebounds for 7.3 PIR.
Dunston is a two-time EuroLeague champion (2021, 2022) and a two-time EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year (2014, 2015).
Dunston becomes the 6th new player on Zalgiris roster this offseason, with Rokas Jokubaitis and Ignas Brazdeikis being close to a deal.
