Former AS Monaco forward Chima Moneke has joined the Basque organization on a two-year deal. The information about the two sides nearing a deal was published earlier by Donatas Urbonas from BasketNews.
The 1.98 m tall player began the 2022-23 season with the Sacramento Kings but made a mid-season move to Monaco in January. During his tenure in the EuroLeague, Moneke averaged 3.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in under 13 minutes of play in 16 games.
In the French league, he averaged 9.7 points (76.2% 2P), 4.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 steals in 18 minutes of play.
Moneke was named the MVP of the 2022 Basketball Champions League, as he helped BAXI Manresa to reach the title game.
