Anthony Edwards will be evaluated day-by-day until he's clear to return to the court, Shams Charania reports.

Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards suffered an ankle injury against the Chicago Bulls Friday night. Although the initial prognosis wasn't optimistic, a positive update on the player's health has been provided.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, has exited a walking boot and will begin moving around more as the healing process continues and swelling decreases.

Edwards is expected to be evaluated daily until he's safe to return to the court, Charania reports.

With 4 minutes remaining in the first quarter, Edwards jumped to pass the ball to Mike Conley. While landing after the jump, the Wolves guard twisted his ankle. He immediately grabbed it, screaming in pain.

Edwards had to leave the court helped by his teammates. He's been averaging 24.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists this season.

With 35 wins and 37 losses, the Timberwolves are currently 8th in the Western Conference.
