Italian forward Awudu Abass will remain with Dubai Basketball for another season.
Dubai Basketball continues shaping their roster ahead of their debut EuroLeague season by securing another key piece.
The club officially announced that Italian forward Awudu Abass will remain with the team for another season.
The 32-year-old averaged 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season in the ABA League, playing a vital role in helping Dubai reach the semifinals, where they fell to eventual champions Partizan Belgrade.
Abass has spent his entire professional career in Italy before joining Dubai last summer.
He began with Cantu, where he played from 2010 to 2016. He then moved to Olimpia Milano for the next two years before joining Brescia, where he stayed from 2018 to 2020.
His last stop in Italy before moving to Dubai was with Virtus Segafredo Bologna, where he spent the past four years.
During his time in Italy, Abass won the EuroCup title with Virtus in 2022 and claimed two Italian championships, one with Olimpia Milano in 2018 and another with Virtus in 2021.
He also represented the Italian national team at the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket and the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
